Destination organizations frequently come under government and media scrutiny, and too often, we are our own worst enemy. To overcome this, destination organizations must become one of their community’s shared values and confidently demonstrate how destination promotion can support and benefit the residents of the community. This must-attend session will clearly articulate the role of a destination organization in a community, provide the starting point for “Mission” and “About Us” statements, lay out the political argument for public support of destination promotion, and identify the ideas and ideals that form the basis of a community shared value.

    Kate Adolphson

    Associate Director, Production Services

    Sparkloft Media

With over 10 years at Sparkloft, Kate has crafted the preproduction process for and produced most of Sparkloft's photo and video productions. Her main gig? Making sure everything's set up before the cameras start rolling—from sorting out schedules and permits to finding the right crew, casting talent, and, most importantly, keeping budgets in check. From award-winning docu-series and activations to hype videos, dynamic brand launches, and eye-catching campaign assets, she's the go-to guru for all things production.

    Sam Morales

    Associate Creative Director

    Sparkloft Media

Sam is the all-star for all things art direction and overall creative at Sparkloft. In just over 2 years, she has redefined the essence of art direction within the production process, leaving a mark on some of Sparkloft's most significant shoots. But what exactly does art direction in a production mean? It means ensuring everything looks exactly how it was envisioned —from activations and athlete announcements to hype videos and campaign launches, Sam leaves no leaf unturned, literally.
