Nicole Buchanan is a highly connected senior media executive with many contributions to the success of powerhouse brands including Pandora Media, Vibe, BET Networks, People and A+E Networks. She is known for her creativity, wit and innovative marketing strategies.
As Head of Cultural Strategy, Nicole’s work has led to significant revenue growth across SXM’s key business verticals. As a music fanatic, Nicole connects the radical influence of music with the rising trends in culture and consumer behaviors. She has led several talks for advertising agencies and associations around the significant role culture plays in the lives of key growth audiences. This powerful influence has led to the creation of truly authentic integrated 360 programs and retail partnerships.
A graduate of Northwestern University, Nicole is a mom, wife, dedicated mentor and committed volunteer for organizations that protect the rights of women and children.
Lucelenia Amparo
Black Strategy and Insights Lead, Sales Executive

Lucelenia Amparo sits on SXM’s Multicultural team as a consultative seller with a primary focus on Black consumer insights and strategy. With several years of experience within the audio space Lucelenia lends her expertise to key marketing initiatives, strategy, creative planning for the SXM sales team and key clients. Prior to SXM, she managed all aspects of campaign implementation for iHeart’s Connections Digital team specializing in podcast brand partnerships. She has also played a pivotal part of both Adobe’s Advanced TV and Univision’s El Rey Network teams.
As a second-generation Dominican, born and raised in the Bronx, NY, Lucy brings an authentic perspective to the Multicultural team and works to ensure clients have a thorough working knowledge of cultural trends that inform their efforts to unlock the powerful engagement of Black and Multicultural consumers. When she is not at work, you can find her DIY-ing the latest Design TikTok trend, traveling or taking acting classes with friends.
Alicia Austion
Account Director
Culture ONE World
Alicia is a strategic marketing communications and brand management expert working on issues for national nonprofit, travel, hospitality and government entities. She is currently Account Director at Culture ONE World, a DC-based multicultural agency, and also Co-Founded The Juneteenth Foundation. The Juneteenth Foundation is a 501(C)3 organization dedicated to the national recognition of Juneteenth and the celebration of freedom and black culture. Alicia managed the foundation’s partnership initiatives and events and supported the corporate and citizen engagement strategy. At Culture ONE she manages an account portfolio of clients aiming to target multicultural audiences and communities on the margins. Her client roster has included the CDCF, National Kidney Foundation, Capital One, and Amtrak.
Alicia has managed brand marketing efforts for The National Railroad Passenger Corporation, has worked on communications programs in support of the US Marine Corps and has led marketing and PR for luxury hospitality brands. Alicia’s brand partnership experience has launched campaigns with Lysol, Coca Cola, United Airlines, Lyft, Mattel, and Marriott.
Alicia lives in in the Washington DC metro area with her family.
