Destination development is about shaping places, strengthening communities and making strategic investments that create lasting value for residents, businesses and visitors alike. As destination organizations take on an increasingly active role in this work, thoughtful planning, strong partnerships and clear priorities are essential to driving meaningful progress.
Join us for the next Cross-Atlantic Knowledge Exchange (CAKE) as destination leaders from Canada, Scotland and the United States share practical approaches to destination development. Through three short presentations, hear from Catherine Callary, CDME, APR, Vice President, Destination Development at Ottawa Tourism, on developing a destination development strategy; Brad Beaubien, AICP, Vice President of Destination Development at Visit Indy, on turning a tourism development master plan into infrastructure priorities; and a team member from VisitScotland, on approaches and partnerships supporting destination development in Scotland.
We'll also offer a sneak preview of Destinations International's forthcoming Strategic Destination Development Certificate, launching in December, designed to help destination professionals strengthen their knowledge and skills in this evolving area.
So, grab a cup of your favorite warm beverage and a slice of cake from your local bakery, and join us as we dig into destination development together! Come ready to share ideas, ask questions and connect with fellow destination professionals from both sides of the Atlantic. After all, great conversations are even better with a little CAKE!
Please note that attendance at a Destinations International webinar is eligible for one (1) CDME Continuing Education (CE) credit. Credit can only be earned through live virtual attendance. Watching recorded webinars does not count toward CDME CE credit.
