Cody and his team at Economic Development Winnipeg recently unveiled a new video campaign that explains economic development to their community stakeholders in very simple and easy-to-understand terms. The campaign includes a microsite with Winnipeg trivia and factoids that engages residents and helps them understand why the work of the destination organization is so critical.

Erin Randall, Sports Business Manager, Visit OKC
In 1993, Oklahoma City voters levied a sales tax on themselves to fund downtown development and improve the national image of the city. The new tax enabled the city to fund development projects debt-free and was recognized by the U.S. Conference of Mayors. Since then, the MAPS program has been re-upped by voters three additional times and this year enabled the opening of a brand-new convention center in the heart of downtown. Learn how Visit OKC works with stakeholders across the region to support these critical economic development initiatives.
